Pronotum elongate, reaching middle area of third abdominal tergite, anterior margin straight, posterior margin obtusely rounded, anterior and middle transverse sulci indistinct, posterior transverse sulcus distinct, metanoza slightly raised; posterior margin of paranota slightly broadened, humeral sinus absent.

Procoxa with a spine, all femora without spines on ventral margin, protibiae with 4 inner spines and 3 outer spines on ventral margin, and a pair of ventral apical spurs; tibial tympana open on both sides. Mesotibiae with 2 spines on inner side and 3–4 spines on outer side of ventral margin, and a pair of ventral apical spurs. Postfemora with genicular lobes obtuse, posttibiae with 16–18 spines on inner and outer sides of dorsal margin separately, and a pair of dorsal apical spurs and a pair of ventral apical spurs.

Tegmina short, not reaching posterior margin of pronotum, concealed under pronotum. Hind wings absent.

Tenth abdominal tergite broader, posterior margin with an arch-shaped notch, the lateral margins triangular prominent, apices slightly obtuse. Epiproct absent. Cerci longer, moderately curved upwards; middle area slightly broadened, apical area narrow, with a short obtuse tooth. Genitalia invissible. Female. Unknown.

Measurements (mm). Body: ♂ 9.0; pronotum: ♂ 4.0; postfemora: ♂ 6.5.

Discussion. The new species is allied to Pseudocosmetura multicolora ( Shi & Du, 2006) , but it differs from the latter in: male tenth abdominal tergite broader, posterior margin with an arch-shaped concavity, the lateral margins triangularly prominent; cerci with middle area slightly broadened; body unicolorous.

Etymology. The name of the new species is derived from the type locality Nanling.

Distribution. China (Guangdong).
