Bolitogyrus elegantulus Yu View in CoL a n et al., 2007: 152 (Type locality: China, Yunnan, Jinghong City, Nabanhe Nature Reserve, Manfei); Hu et al., 2011: 63 (key to species of Mainland China).

Material examined. CHINA: Yunnan Province: 1 ♂, 1 ♀, Mengla County, Xishuangbanna Menglun Nature Reserve, 810 m, 10. II. 2004, coll. Jie Wu and Jiantao Yin.

Comments. The present specimens were collected from Xishuangbanna Menglun Nature Reserve, which is geographically very close to the type locality in south Yunnan Province. The specimens we collected matched well with the original description, except that the aedeagus looked more elongate and slender than in the original drawings.

Distribution. Bolitogyrus elegantulus Yu an et al. is confined to a few localities in the south of Yunnan Province: Xishuangbanna Nabanhe Nature Reserve and Xishuangbanna Menglun Nature Reserve. The examined specimens were collected from logs at an altitude of 810 m in February.
