Diagnosis. Antennae with scape and pedicel brown, flagellum yellow, acute. Third costal section slightly shorter than fourth. Legs yellow, except coxae and base of femora black. Syntergosternite 8 with large membranous area ventrally. Surstyli subsymmetrical.

Description (male). Body length 3.5 mm; wing 3.6 mm. Eyes contiguous on frons for a distance greater than length of frontal triangle. Frontal triangle and face gray pruinose. Antennae with scape and pedicel brown, flagellum yellow, acute. Thorax dark brown to black with scutum, scutellum, postpronotal lobe and notopleuron brown pruinose. Mesopleuron, subscutellum and laterotergite gray pruinose. Legs yellow, except coxae black and anterior face of fore and midfemora and posterior face of hind femur mainly brown basally. Distal tarsomeres brown. All femora with ventral ctenidia. Tibia without developed bristles, either distally or medially. Wing with third costal section slightly shorter than fourth; pterostigma incomplete; vein r­m placed near basal third of cell dm; vein M1 slightly sinuous; vein dm­cu straight, about as long as vein CuA1. Halter with stem light yellow, knob brown. Abdomen ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 1 – 12. 17 ) black, brown pruinose with gray pruinosity on all of tergite 1, base of tergite 2 and posterolaterally on tergites 3–5. Syntergosternite 8 black, brown pruinose, as long as tergite 5, with large membranous area ventrally. Epandrium and surstyli ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 1 – 12. 17 ) yellow to brown. Surstyli subsymmetrical; in lateral view as in Fig. 10 View FIGURES 1 – 12. 17 , showing the base projecting downward. Phallic guide and phallus as in Fig. 11 View FIGURES 1 – 12. 17 . Phallus trifid, short, ramificated, with subapical membranous expansion. Ejaculatory apodeme as in Fig. 12 View FIGURES 1 – 12. 17 .

Female. Body length 3.3 mm; wing 3.4 mm. Frons gray pruinose. Syntergosternite 7+8 and ovipositor (Fig. 13) black, brown pruinose dorsally and gray laterally; ovipositor straight, longer than syntergosternite. In other respects identical to description of male.

Etymology. The specific name is in honour of Dr. Jean Michel Maes, who collected almost all specimens treated in this paper.

Remarks. This species differs from other species of Eudorylas by the combination of the following characters: incomplete pterostigma, surstyli base projecting downward and phallus with subapical membranous expansion.
