Remarks. The number of antennal segments in the type species; Archeohomaloplia potanini Nikolajev, 1982 ; varies between nine and ten. The genitalia of the male syntype of Omaloplia abbreviata Fairmaire is virtually identical to the figure of Archeohomaloplia potanini Nikolajev by Nikolajev (1982), thus these taxa should be considered synonymous.
