Protohermes yangi Liu, Hayashi & Yang, 2007 a. Zootaxa 1439: 41. Type locality: China (Guangxi); Vietnam (Mt. Pia Oac).

Materials examined. 1ɗ, VIETNAM: Cao Bang Prov., Mt. Pia Oac, 22°37'N, 105°52'E, 16.V.1985, T. Kishimoto (HC).

Distribution. China (Guangxi Prov., Guizhou Prov.); Vietnam (Cao Bang Prov.).

Remarks. This species is a member of the Protohermes costalis group ( Liu et al., 2007a) and its distribution in Vietnam is presently restricted to the Mt. Pia Oac.
