Names.
Myanmar: kun-kado. English: green ripple peacock ginger, purple-flowered resurection lily, resurection lily.
Range.
China (Sichuan), India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand. In Myanmar, found in Bago, Mandalay, Mon, Taninthayi, and Yangon.
Use.
Stem (Rhizome): Used to treat dysentery.
Notes.
Many Kaempferia species are utilized as medicinal plants throughout Southeast Asia. The rhizome of Kaempferia is ground into a paste and applied externally for the treatment of sprains ( Burkill 1966).
