Material examined. 4 males, 3 female: 2 males ( ZRC.ORT.1116, 1117), 1 female ( ZRC.ORT.1118), BTNR, Fern Valley, coll. D. H. Murphy, 23 February 1974; 1 female ( ZRC.ORT.1124), “ Singapore ”, light trap, coll. K. H. Poon, February 1977; 1 male ( ZRC.ORT.192), 1 female ( ZRC.ORT.192), DFNP, along Wallace Trail, young secondary forest, coll. M. K. Tan, 10 January 2011; 1 male ( ZRC.ORT.403), DFNP, along Wallace Trail, young secondary forest, coll. M. K. Tan, 15 February 2012.

Life history. On the night of 10 January 2011, numerous (around 10 or more) males were observed calling for females on top of leaf foliage along the trail. It was raining heavily. Such ‘lekking’ was not observed on nonraining survey nights along the trail (M. K. Tan, pers. obs.). The collection records also provided some evidences that the species may be seasonal and appears to be most abundant in January and February.

Remarks. This species was described from Singapore (Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1878).
