References and records from Norway
Parastenocaris phyllura Kiefer, 1938 – Enckell (1969): 493 – 506.
Enckell (1969) found this species along the coast in the south of Norway (covering Western, Southern and Eastern geographical regions). The species belongs to the fresh groundwater interstitial fauna, but can also be found in brackish water. Enckell (1969) investigated sandy beaches bordering lakes and rivers, taking samples both from the psammon and the hyporheic zone.
Species checklist – marine/brackish-water harpacticoid species of Norway, with high possibility to be found either in fresh waters or in brackish waters together with freshwater species
