( Figs. 7, 8 View FIGURES 1–8 , 12 View FIGURES 9–12 , 16 View FIGURES 13–16 , 20 View FIGURES 17–22 , 25 View FIGURES 23–26 )

Diagnosis. Ground color dark brown (head and mesosoma) to black (metasoma) with yellow marks; clypeus brownish yellow, with silvery bristles; all tarsi yellow; pterostigma yellowish; scutellum and metasoma entirely black (except for basal lateral mark on first metasomal tergum); occipital carina hardly developed; posterior ocelli close, separated by distance less than or equal to one ocellar diameter; inner hind tarsal claw with tip rounded and expanded.

FEMALE DESCRIPTION. Length of fore wing: 12 mm. head in frontal view higher than wide (FHH/INTOW: 1.10); clypeus higher than wide (HCLP/WCLP: 1.17), apex narrowly rounded; upper free portion of lateral margin relatively long and straight in its course to tentorial pit; this closer to the eye than to the antennal socket; malar space narrow; occipital carina hardly developed; posterior ocelli close, separated by distance less than or equal to one ocellar diameter; (POL/OOL: 0.50); anterior margin of pronotum medially with lamella wide and reflexed, without secondary margin immediately behind; pronotum with lateral fovea; pronotal carina continuous, not lobed on humeral region, angularly elevated at center; mesoscutum a little longer than wide (LMS/WMS: 1.05); lateral margin adjacent to tegula with well-developed lamella; propodeal median sulcus broad with conspicuous central keel, developed over 2/3 of the propodeal dorsum; hind leg inner tarsal claw with tip rounded and expanded; first metasomal segment not noticeably elongated (LSI/HMP: 1.04), about 2.6 times wider at the apex than at the base, ca. 0.44X length of the segment; forewing well elongated (LDIS/HMP: 2.55).

Sculpture. Integument with fine dense granulation; clypeus with very small and close punctation, apical region reticulate; mandible with reticulate and shiny surface, similar to the apical region of the clypeus, and with some large sparse punctures; frons similar to the clypeus; mesoscutum with slightly stronger granulation; scutellum and metanotum with weaker and shallower granulation pattern; propodeum with a little coarser granulation; mesopleuron with fine and dense micro granulation.

Vestiture. Head and mesosoma with sparse not very long golden bristles; mandible with large sparse bristles; clypeus with short dense silvery bristles, with some longer and erect golden bristles; apical region of clypeus with long sparse reddish erect bristles; legs and metasoma with short oblique golden bristles; first metasomal segment in lateral view with dense erect bristles.

Color. Ground color dark brown (on head and mesosoma) to black (on scutellum and metasoma). antenna brown, scape dorsally dark brown, and ventrally yellow; disk of the clypeus brownish yellow, apex paler; band adjacent to the inner margin of the eye (from the upper free margin of the clypeus to vertex), two small spots on the interantennal space, narrow strip adjacent to the outer margin of the eye, evanescent mark on the mesepisternal plate, anterior band on metanotum, inner aspect of anterior coxa, mark on posterior outer region of mid coxa, two elongated marks on posterior coxa, apex of femora, apex of fore tibia, mid and hind tibia (except for a dorsal area, light brown); tarsi, paired dorsal spots and lateral spots on propodeum, basal lateral mark on first metasomal segment, yellow. Wings hyaline, venation brown; pterostigma yellowish.

MALE. Unknown.

NEST. Unknown.

Distribution. Brazil: Pará ( Fig. 27 View FIGURE 27 ).

Type material. Holotype, ♀, Brazil, Pará , Melgaço, Caxiuanã (PPBio), 09.xi.2006 (S.S. Silva) ( MPEG. HHY 03015980 View Materials ).

Etymology. The specific epithet is a homage to Antonia Lucília dos Santos Maciel, mother of the first author.

Remarks. This new species is similar to M. chanchamayoensis in respect to dark ground color, and structural characters like the clypeus shape and vestiture, small distance between posterior ocelli, and shape of hind tarsal inner claw. However, M. luciliae is a little smaller, with the clypeus pale, scutellum entirely dark and unmarked, all tarsi yellow, and the pterostigma yellowish.
