Diagnosis. Foretarsomeres inflated, enlarged. Likely, this is not a monophyletic group (see discussion in Brown & Kung 2007).

Included species. Dohrniphora crinitiauris , D. lamella Borgmeier & Prado , D. luteifrons Borgmeier , D. acanthiventris , D. aprosmicta , D. avispasensis , D. fuller , D. fundula , D. megasoma , D. metatarsalis Borgmeier & Prado , D. nakayamai , D. ocellifrons , D. smithi Brown & Kung , and 12 other species in couplets 4–13 of the key in Brown & Kung (2007).
