Andrena fulva Eversmann, 1852 View in CoL (nec A. fulva Müller, 1776 View in CoL ): 31, ♀, ♂.

Type locality: Orenburg ( Russia).

Published (original) locality: “in promontoriis Uralensibus australibus”.

Lectotype: ♀, designated by Osytshnjuk 1994: 35, Orb [ Russia, Orenburg Province, Orenburg, 51°46′N 55°06′E] // fulva mihi [handwritten by E. Eversmann] // GoogleMaps Lectotypus Andrena fulva Eversm. , design. Osychnjuk, 1980 <red label> // Zoological Institute St. Petersburg INS_HYM_0000271 .

Paralectotypes: 1 ♀, 1 ♂, Indersk; 1 ♂, Orb // Paralectotypus Andrena fulva Eversm. , design. Osychnjuk, 1980 <identical red labels on each paralectotype specimen>.

Current status. Andrena (Taeniandrena) eversmanniana Osytshnjuk, 1994 , stat. rev. (nom. nov. for Andrena fulva Eversmann, 1852 , Osytshnjuk 1994: 35).

Remark. The name Andrena fulva Eversmann, 1852 (nec A. fulva Müller, 1776 ) was synonymized by Warncke (1967: 273) with A. (Margandrena) marginata Fabricius, 1776 . Gusenleitner & Schwarz (2002: 458) also consider A. eversmanniana Osytshnjuk, 1994 to be a junior synonym of A. (Margandrena) marginata Fabricius, 1776 . However, the lectotype specimen definitely belongs to subgenus Taeniandrena and has red colouration, uncommon within this subgenus, so we accept the opinion of A. Osytshnjuk on the valid status of A. eversmanniana . Nevertheless, according to Praz et al. (2022) Taeniandrena contains a great deal of cryptic diversity, so taxonomic revision of this subgenus is needed for the status of this species to be clear.

Distribution. Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan.
