Habitus Fig. 2. Length +/- 650µ. Colour dark brown. Antennae length +/- 238µ. Distance across eyes 214µ min, 228µ max, 221µ mean. Pronotum length 174µ min, 188µ max, 181µ mean; width 324µ min, 332µ max, 328µ mean; ratio width/length 1.76. Detached elytron length 411µ min, 437µ max, 426µ mean; width 211µ min, 224µ max, 219µ mean; ratio length/width 1.94, Fig. 21. Ratio mean elytra length/mean pronotum length 2.35. Female: spermathecae Figs. 32,33.

Etymology. From the Latin secubitus meaning lying or sleeping alone and referring to the absence of males.

Diagnosis. The form of the spermatheca which will quickly distinguish this species from all others.
