Holotype, male, pinned:

Specimen data: “Palmiste | 26/6/18 ” [Handwritten (by Lamont)]. “Lamont | Collection | 1950-16” [Printed] and another label “ Type ” [Handwritten in red ink] glued to it. “ Acrolophus tretus Kaye ” [Handwritten Lamont cabinet label].

Remarks: This is undoubtedly the holotype collected at Palmiste, Trinidad, 26 June.1918, by Sir N. Lamont. It is illustrated in colour in Pl. XLV: fig. 1 ( Kaye 1925, Kaye & Lamont 1927).
