Only one species of this small genus has been found in Ecuador. Another species, I. amazonica ( Fig. 98 View FIGURE 98 ), has yet to be recorded in Ecuador although it probably occurs here. A key to species was provided by Rácenis (1969). Habitats include ponds and marshes.
