Type material. Holotype, male, sand with Thymus sp., open sandy field, Pustynia Błędowska , Chechło near Zawiercie, Śląska Upland (S Poland), 29.viii.2014, leg. A. Piwnik, D. Skarżyński ( IEB) ; paratype, female, same data as holotype ( IEB) .

Other material. Male , grassland on southern slope of gypsum hill, Wola Zagojska near Busko-Zdrój, Małopolska Upland (S Poland), 4.vii.1991, leg. M. Bieniek ( ISEA).

Etymology. Dedicated to Wanda M. Weiner, the excellent specialist in Collembola .

Description. Body length without antennae 0.51–0.52 mm. Colour in alcohol blue. Granulation fine.

Antennae slightly shorter than head ( Fig. 18 View FIGURE 17 – 20 ). Ant. I with 7, Ant. II with 11 and Ant. III with 22 ordinary setae. Ant. III and IV fused dorsally and separated ventrally. Sensory organ of Ant. III consisting of two small internal sensilla and two equal in size subcylindrical guard sensilla; two guard setae between them, ventral microsensillum present. Ant. IV with simple or trilobed apical vesicle, 6 subcylindrical sensilla (S2 present), dorsoexternal microsensillum and subapical organite.

8 + 8 ocelli. PAO oval, 1.4–1.6 times larger than neighbor ocellus, with 7–8 vesicles ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 10 – 16 ). Buccal cone very long ( Figs 18, 19 View FIGURE 17 – 20 ). Mandibles absent, maxilla styliform. Labrum long pointed at apex. Labium without organites x and papillate setae L, with 10 + 10 ordinary setae ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 10 – 16 ). Perilabial area with 5 + 5 subequal setae.

Dorsal chaetotaxy as in Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 2 . Setae and sensory setae (s) short. Microsensilla on Th. II present. Head with unpaired seta d1 present and seta a0 absent. Th. I with 3 + 3 setae. Th. II with 11 + 11 setae (a2 present, a5 and m4 absent) and Th. III with 10 + 10 setae (a2, a5 and m4 absent). Abd. I–III with 8 + 8 setae (a3, m3 and m4 absent), Abd. IV with 9 + 9 setae (m-row setae absent). Abd. V with setae a2 absent and p2 present. Ventral chaetotaxy as in Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 2 . Thoracic sterna without setae, ventral tube with 4 + 4 setae.

Dens with 5 setae, mucro with slightly curved inner lamella ( Figs 16 View FIGURES 10 – 16 , 20 View FIGURE 17 – 20 ). Mucro/dens ratio: 3.75–4.25. Mucro + dens/claws III ratio: 2.1–2.2. Manubrium with 12 + 12 posterior setae. Retinaculum with 3 + 3 teeth ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 17 – 20 ).

Tibiotarsi I, II and III with 15, 15 and 14 setae, respectively ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 10 – 16 ). Femora I, II and III with 10, 10 and 9 setae, trochanters I, II and III with 5, 5 and 5 setae, coxae I, II and III with 3, 7 and 7 setae, subcoxae 2 of legs I, II and III with 0, 2 and 2 setae, subcoxae 1 of legs I, II and III with 1, 2 and 2 setae, respectively. Claw without inner tooth and lateral teeth. Empodial appendage absent.
