Etymology. The name of the new species refers to the type locality (“Hreblya”).

Host. Cyperaceae : Carex sp.

Mine. ( Fig. 84 View FIGURES 84–93 ) The solitary larva forms a greenish-white interparenchymal blotch mine. Pupation takes place within the mine.

Larva and puparium. ( Figs. 85–88 View FIGURES 84–93 ) The larva is yellowish. Protuberance bearing posterior spiracles directed posteriorly. The puparium is dark brown viewed from the side and blackish-brown viewed from above and below, silky-shining, 3.1 mm long, with weak segmentation. The surface of the puparium is wrinkled except for the wide spine bands. Both posterior spiracles are set on a single wide cylindrical protuberance, directed dorsally; dark yellow, horn-shaped, with black spinous anal lobes located ventrally. Anal plate slightly protruding above the surface of the puparium viewed from the side and directed posteriorly.

Cephalopharyngeal skeleton. ( Fig. 402 View FIGURES 402–411 ) Right mouthhook larger than the left, both with abducted portion directed ventro-anteriorly. Each mouthhook bears two accessory teeth: apical blunt, medial sharp and curved ventrally. Intermediate sclerite long, narrow, 1.6× as long as height of the left mouthhook. The mouthhook, intermediate sclerite, and anterior portion of the pharyngeal sclerite are strongly sclerotized; posterior portions of dorsal and ventral cornua are wide, plane and weakly sclerotized. Indentation index 88.

Distribution. Ukraine (Transcarpathia).

Adult description. Head. ( Figs. 403, 404 View FIGURES 402–411 ) Orbit visibly projecting above eye in profile; 1 orb s, 3 fr s, distance between orb s 1.7× distance between fr s; frorb sta long, in one row, lateroclinate and sparse; orbit wide, shining (frontal view); lunule matt, high, narrowing posteriorly (up to level of posterior fr s); frons matt; vibrissa strong; gena medially 0.1× as high as maximum height of eye; gena rounded; pped angular viewed from the side, with elongated white pubescence on anterior margin.

Wing: ( Fig. 405 View FIGURES 402–411 ) Hyaline; costal vein ochraeous, reaching M 1; last and penultimate sections of CuA 1 are equal; costal sections 2–4 in the ratio of 5.5: 2: 1.5; calypter yellow, margin and fringe black. Wing length 3.1 mm in male.

Mesonotum: Black, weakly shining viewed from above; sctl more matt; 1+3 dc s; acr s in 6–7 irregular rows at level of 2 nd postsutural dc s; halters yellow; legs: femur shining black with black hairs, foreknees yellow only on femur; tibiae and tarsi dark yellow with black hairs.

Male genitalia: ( Figs. 406–408 View FIGURES 402–411 ) Epandrium hemispherical, with distinct caudal projection. Cercus small, 0.4× height of epandrium viewed from the side. Hypandrium U-shaped, with narrow arms. Ejaculatory apodeme narrow with triangular blade, 0.3× as long as epandrium-hypandrium complex. Distiphallus of medium length compared to congeners, with smoothly semicirculary bent distal portion and shallow basal curve viewed from the side. Mesophallus long, narrow, with strong hemispherical widening near distiphallus when viewed from below, 0.9× as long as distiphallus. Phallus 0.14 mm long.

Female genitalia: ( Figs. 409–411 View FIGURES 402–411 ) Capsule of spermatheca relatively small, 0.15× as high as height of anterior part of oviscape. Spermathecae equal in size, dark brown, spherical, slightly flattened basally, without basal collar. Neck of spermatheca conical, wider than long, narrowed in the direction of the duct, 0.6× as long as maximum width. Spermathecal duct corrugated and weakly sclerotized. Ventral receptacle anchor-shaped, with three subequal blades.

Comments. Superficially and in shape of male terminalia the new species is similar to C. (B.) vigneae Nowakowski and C. (B.) pseuderrans (Hendel) . Differences among these three species are summarized in Table 1.

The new species can be integrated into the key on p. 90 of Papp & Černý (2016) as follows:

8. Orbit moderately projecting above eye in profile; gena 0.16—0.20 times the height of eye; pped with small hairs on upper corner; last section of vein Cu–A 1 1.2—1.6 times longer than penultimate; calypter margin and fringe brown.............................................................................................. C. (B.) mellita Spencer

- Orbit projecting as a narrow ring above eye; gena 0.10—0.15 times the height of eye; pped with pale hairs on anterior margin, hairs longer than basal width of arista; last and penultimate sections of vein Cu–A 1 equal; calypter margin and fringe pitch black.............................................................................................. 8a

8a. Calypter grey; smaller, wing length 2.7 mm in male; pped rounded viewed from the side; caudal projection absent..................................................................................... C. (B.) pseuderrans (Hering)

- Calypter yellow; larger, wing length 3.5 mm in male; pped angular viewed from the side; caudal projection present..................................................................................... C. (B.) hreblensis spec. nov.
