2. Batriscenellus auritus View in CoL species group

Diagnosis. This group is basically defined by the males having an excavation on abdominal tergite IV, like most species of Batrisiella .

Remarks. Adults of this group are distinctive by the excavation on male tergite IV.

The group includes three species previously placed in Batrisiella and two new species. Btriscenellus auritus is scattered from North Korea southward down to East China; B. satoi and B. subalpicolus are alpine species that are restricted in Southwest China; the two new species described below are known only from East China.
