Corynoneura View in CoL View at ENA sp. circulimentum

( Figs 22–23 View FIGURE 22 View FIGURE 23 )

Material examined. One female, with pupal and larval exuviae, Ubatuba, stream besides Ruínas da Lagoinha, 23˚30.468´S, 45˚11.923´W, 0 m a.s.l., 16.x.2008, S. Wiedenbrug.

Diagnostic characters. Adult females are separable from other species by the eyes pubescent, labia funnel shaped, one large and one small seminal capsule, both sclerotized and gonapophysis with posterior median margin straight ( Figs 22 View FIGURE 22 B–C). Pupa are difficult to separable from C. sertaodaquina , but the shagreen is more similar to C. septadentata , having shorter spines, not elongated as in C. sertaodaquina ( Figs 23 View FIGURE 23 A–C). Larva are distinguished from other species due to antennal length subequal to post-mentum length ( Fig. 23 View FIGURE 23 E), Frontal apotome about 170 µm long, mentum with three median teeth ( Fig. 23 View FIGURE 23 F), ventral setae on abdomen apically split ( Fig. 23 View FIGURE 23 G), basal seta on posterior parapod with one pectinate side ( Fig. 23 View FIGURE 23 H).

Remarks. Unfortunately the male of this morphotype is still unknown. Pupa and larva are similar to C. septadentata and C. sertaodaquina . Not only the male but more material necessary to define this morphotype as a valid species.
