Diagnosis. This new species is similar to P. s te r n e ck i, but can be separated by the slightly longer (external) rami of the male antennae, paler greyish wing ground colour and by the postmedial border of the central fascia of forewing being rather straight close to the costa. This is also clearly visible on the underside of the wings. Moreover, hreblayi has a broad, white, postmedial area, in contrast to the distinct white lines in sternecki , and a white submarginal line which is absent in sternecki . The male genitalia of hreblayi are similar to those of sternecki , but differ by the longer, straight and acute costal process (short, blunt and rounded in sternecki ) and by the stout saccular arm with broad tip (narrow and without a broadened tip in sternecki ). The U-shaped uncus is wider in sternecki , but more deeply divided in hreblayi . In the female genitalia, the lateral sterigma-plates are rather similar, but the appendix bursae is larger and the signum has a much longer base in hreblayi .

Description. Adults: Wingspan 24–27mm. Male antennae bipectinate with long rami, external ones slightly longer than internal. Frons variegated with dark brown and whitish scales. Labial palpi dark brown, mixed with a few whitish scales distally, with elongated whitish scales basally, slightly longer than eye diameter. Body covered with white and dark brown scales, predominantly white on underside, legs with dark brown and white scales intermixed. Forewings whitish grey, basal area and transverse lines darker grey, often the whole medial area dark grey. Antemedial and postmedial lines rather broad consisting of two or three parallel, waved lines. Postmedial strongly curved outwards in the middle, bordered by a white band. Subtermen dark grey, broader near costa, narrowed medially, with a white, waved subterminal line distally; fringe chequered darker and lighter grey, with a black basal line; a dark grey discal dot present. Underside basally and medially dark grey. Postmedial line bordered by a white band, subtermen dark grey, broader near costa and narrowed towards hind margin, termen whitish without a distinct subterminal line, a dark grey, interrupted line along margin. Hindwings on upperside basally and medially paler than forewings, with two transverse lines and a distinct discal dot, postmedial line bordered by a broad, greyish-white band of equal width, subtermen dark grey, waved distally and bordered by a faint, white subterminal line; termen greyish, fringe as in forewings; underside basally and medially lighter grey, with a lunate discal dot; dark grey postmedial line bordered by a broad, white band of equal width, subterminal band grey, darker than on uperside, distally waved and with a faint subterminal line, termen whitish with a grey, interrupted basal line. Male genitalia: Uncus bifurcated, narrowly U-shaped, with rather long lateral arms and a low base; tegumen hood-like, about the same length as vinculum; saccus evenly rounded; juxta small, sclerotized, caudally forced. Valva: costa angled centrally, distal tip long, straight, well projecting beyond valve lamina; sacculus long, with a stout distal arm, its tip broadly expanded. Aedeagus rod-shaped, medially with a protrusion; vesica hammer-head shaped, with several rows of small spinular cornuti and a slender, triangular plate-like cornutus. Female genitalia: Papillae anales simple, rounded; posterior apophyses three times as long as anterior apophyses; sterigma-plates golfclubshaped; ductus bursae short, with a colliculum; corpus bursae large, elliptical, with a slender, triangular, basally long signum; appendix bursae large, sclerotized, elliptical.

Distribution. Pakistan (North).

Etymology. This species is dedicated to the late Martón Hreblay, who lived in Erd near Budapest ( Hungary). He was an excellent specialist of Noctuidae and an ambitious collector of moths of various Asian regions. He also collected the large series of the new Paraplaneta species described above. He died unexpectedly and much too young in October 2000 during a collecting-trip to Thailand by a car-accident.
