Treatment

Distribution: Pantropical, southern Palearctic.

Records in Ecuador: Galápagos (Islas: San Cristóbal, Fernandina ), Esmeraldas (at road E10, 40 km SE from San Lorenzo city) and Napo (45 km N from Puyo, CIPCA ( Centro de Investigación , Posgrado y Conservación de la Amazonía )) .

Habitat: Isla San Cristóbal: small spring in valley near lake El Junco, Miconia zone ; moist, decayed leaf litter under Miconia robinsoniana . Isla Fernandina: littoral zone, under Laguncidaria racemosa and Rhizophora mangle ; moist, well-decayed mangrove leaf litter. Litoral and transition zone. Natural ecosystem, leaf litter mixed with moss from the deciduous forest. Ruderal community, rotten wood.
