Distribution: Pantropical.
Records in Ecuador: Galápagos (Isla Seymour Norte), Cotopaxi ( Reserve of Bosque Integral Otonga , near San Francisco de las Pampas), Pastaza (13 km N from Shell, private reserve Fundación de la Amazonia, near the border with Llanganates Park) and Zamora Chinchipe ( San Francisco Biological Reserve ) .
Habitat: Arid zone in the interior of the island, under Bursera malacophylla and Cryptocarpus pyriformis ; dry sandy litter and humus. Sifted litter. Primary forest, leaf litter. Leaf litter and forest soil.
