Distribution: Neotropical.

Records in Ecuador: Zamora Chinchipe ( San Francisco Biological Reserve and Podocarpus National Park-Bombuscaro) and Loja (andean mountain region of the Loja valley and Podocarpus National Park-Cajanuma).

Habitat: Soil and litter of degraded forest. Litterbags of Puteria sp., Cavendishia zamorensis , Mollinedia sp. , Clusia spp , Graffenieda emarginata and Hediosmum sp.
