This katydid subfamily is endemic to Neotropical Region, and all of its representatives resemble leaves, live or dead, illustrating an important cryptic pattern. The subfamily comprises 96 species, belonging to 14 genera. Ten genera and 36 species are currently known to inhabit Brazil. Here we record two genera and two species.
