2. MECONEMATINAE BURMEISTER, 1838 View in CoL
This subfamily is represented in Brazil by six genera and 18 species, 15 of them within the tribe Phlugidini , a tribe exclusively distributed in the tropics. They are predatory katydids presenting anterior raptorial legs (Chamorro-Rengifo & Braun 2016). We collected four species of Phlugis Stål, 1861 (Phlugidini) , which represent the first record of Meconematinae for the Paraná State.
