Diagnostic description. Length 1.5–1.8 mm; greatest width 1.0– 1.3 mm. Shining; variable in color: yellowish to reddish brown to dark brown; head and pronotum often darker than elytra. Head moderately fine, densely punctate; pronotum moderately finely, sparsely punctate; elytra moderately coarsely, densely punctate. Antennae length about equal to head width, not reaching pronotal base. Maxillary palps unmodified. Eyes large. Wings fully developed. Metasternum minutely, sparsely punctate medially; with fine lines of microsculpture laterally. Male protarsi and mesotarsi densely setose. Major male mesofemur broader than metafemur; metafemur elongate, narrow, posterior margin weakly concave; metatibia elongate; inner metatibial spine elongate, curved, sinuate apically. Aedeagus ( Fig. 80, 81 View Figures 70–91 ) elongate, slender, roundly curved dorsoventrally; tip of apex sinuate, upturned. Inverted internal sac with three rows of spines. Parameres broad at base, with narrow apex.

Distribution. The species is known only from Cuba.

Etymology. The epithet sinuatus (Latin, with bends) refers to the dorsoventrally sinuate aedeagal apex of this species.
