Lichen glaucus Linnaeus , Species Plantarum 2: 1148. 1753.

"Habitat in Europae frigidae, presertim Sueciae, truncis Betulinis. arboreus." RCN: 8210.

Lectotype (Howe in Bull. Torrey Bot. Club 3 9: 201. 1912; Jørgensen & al. in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 115: 318, f. 35. 1994): Herb. Linn. No. 1273.139, lower specimen ( LINN) .

Current name: Platismatia glauca (L.) W.L. Culb. & C.F. Culb. ( Parmeliaceae).

Note: Jørgensen & al. (in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 115: 318, 377, f. 35. 1994) restricted Howe’s original type choice to one of the specimens on the sheet.
