Material examined. 1/0/0, Huay Yang Reservoir , Buriram Province, 14° 35ʹ 17.1ʺ N, 102° 29ʹ 25.9ʺ E, 13-ii-2011 ; 0/1/0, Bueng Lahan Lake , Chaiyaphum Province, 15° 36.655ʹ N, 101° 54.132ʹ E, 7-ii-2011 .

Remarks. Cook (1967) described a similar species from India, A. projectus Cook, 1967 . The two species are very similar and, according to Cook (1967), differ in the shape of the idiosoma. Arrenurus projectus has tapering lateral margins, A. spinosus has parallel margins. Given the rather sketchy figure of A. spinosus by Walter (1929), it is very likely that the two species are conspecific. Lundblad (1969) came to the same conclusion. The species is known from Java, India and Burma, and reported here for the first time for Thailand.
