Type Locality: Bolivia, La Paz Dept., northeast of Mt Sajama, Esperanza, 4140 m.
Vernacular Names: Garlepp's Pericote.
Distribution: Altiplano, generally above 3000 m, of S Perú, N Chile, and adjacent Bolivia.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
