Diagnosis. Species of small to medium size (3.6–5.2 mm), characterised by eyes clearly prominent beyond genae. Head as in Fig. 1c, right maxilla as in Fig. 7b, aedeagus as in Fig. 46a, endophallic structures as in Fig. 9c, spiculum ventrale as in Fig. 46b; spermatheca as in Fig. 57d.

Distribution. Balearic endemite: islands of Mallorca and Formentera (type locality: Mallorca: Palma, Son Españolet). Spanish literature records: Mallorca: Son Españolet (l. cl.), Albufera, dunas ( Breit, 1909), Torre d’en Pau, S’Albufera, Son Suñer ( Tenenbaum, 1915, under the name P. globulicollis ).

Biology. Recorded by Breit (1909) from different plants in dune environments, at S’Albufera and Punta de N’Amer collected in dunes almost exclusively on Thymelaea velutina (Pourr. ex Cambess.) Endl. (Thymelaeaceae) , at Formentera beaten from Anthyllis cytisoides L. ( Fabaceae ) a few meters away from the waterline.
