Genus Decussobates Cook, 1988

Diagnosis. Dorsum of male with a large dorsal plate with the postocularia and four pairs of glandularia. Dorsum of female with three large medial plates, anterior plate flanked by a pair of elongated platelets, each with two glandularia. Large posterior dorsal plate of female with 1 –2 pairs of glandularia. Dorsal furrow with three pairs of glandularia. Integument finely lineated. Venter with a large ventral shield in male, female with a large area of secondary sclerotization posterior to Cx-IV. Gnathosoma fused with Cx-I, the latter fused medially. All suture lines of coxae incomplete in male, not reaching midline. Suture lines of coxae of female near complete. Glandularia of Cx-IV near suture line between Cx- III and Cx-IV. No apophyses present at medial ends of posterior suture lines of Cx-IV. Genital field with 5–12 pairs of glandularia. Palp stocky, especially P-4. P2 with a large ventral projection, this projection anteroventrally with a pointed extension. Projection of P-2 either with a serrated margin or smooth. P-5 elongated. Legs without swimming setae. Legs without sexual dimorphism. Excretory pore posterior to genital field in male, but at posterior end of dorsum in female.
