Material examined. Western Australia: 40 specimens, WAM C46166 and 10 specimens, AM P.85306, High Cliffy Island, Kimberley coast, approx. 15°54.77'S 124°20.68'E, baited trap, 22 November 1994, F. Wells, stn Wells 16 GoogleMaps .

Remarks. Tryphosella bet is a shallow-water tropical scavenger (20 to 50 m depth) which occurs along the Great Barrier Reef, the Torres Strait, across the top-end and, with the new record reported here, onto the northwestern Kimberley coast of Australia.

Distribution. Tropical Australia, 20–50 m depth.
