( Fig. 1A–E View FIGURE 1 A – E )

Description. Measurements of holotype. Prodorsum: length 172, width 131, height 76; setae: ss 30, in 56, le 30, ex 1 13, ex 2 7, ro 38; notogaster: length 240, width 220, height 177; setae: c 1 38, cp 33, e 1 51, f 1 66; genitoaggenital plate 63×38, anoadanal plate 88×15. Measurements of paratypes. Prodorsum: length 156–162, height 63–66; notogaster: length 240–244, height 198–202.

Integument. Colour yellowish. Cuticle punctate.

Prodorsum with large median triangular protuberance. Lateral carinae well discernible, long. Sensilli with short stalk and spindle-shaped, flattened head, pointed distally and covered with slender cilia. Interlamellar setae elongated, fusiform, covered with long spines. Lamellar and exobothridial setae needleform, smooth. Rostral setae long, needleform, directed inwards and covered with some long cilia. Relation of lengths: in> ro> ss = le> ex 1> ex 2.

Notogaster. “Notogastral” setae needleform, attenuate; setae of rows e and f longer than setae of rows c and h; setae c 3 more remote from anterior margin than setae c 1 and c 2.

Ventral region. Genitoaggenital plates with distinct longitudinal furrows, separating 5 pairs of genital setae from 3 pairs of aggenital setae. Anoadanal plates narrow, with 8 pairs of setae (only right plate of holotype with 7 setae) arranged in longitudinal row. All setae of ventral region relatively long.

Legs. Tarsi heterotridactylous, claws shorter than tarsi.

Material examined. Holotype and two paratypes from Locality 2.

Etymology. The specific name triangularibus is Latin for “triangular” and refers to the triangular shape of prodorsal protuberance.

Comparison. The new species is morphologically similar to Prototritia palaciosi Mahunka & Mejia- Recamier, 1998 from Mexico by the shape of rostral setae and number and arrangement of “notogastral”, genital and anal setae. It is distinguishable by the presence of prodorsal median triangular protuberance, different shape of sensilli, interlamellar, lamellar and exobothridial setae and especially by presence of longitudinal furrows on genitoaggenital plates.
