Type host. Scapteromys aquaticus Thomas (Mammalia: Muridae ).

Site of infection. Small intestine.

Type locality. Argentina, Buenos Aires Province, Isla Talavera (33º53ʹ18ʹ S, 59º03ʹ59ʹ W).

Holotype: 3 MLP 4949/1. Paratypes: MLP 4949/2 (allotype Ƥ) (cited as MLP 4949a), MLP 4949/3 (3ƤƤ, 1Ƥ in 3 fragments, 13 in 2 fragments, 1Ƥ in 3 fragments) (cited as MLP 4949b).
