Vernacular Names: Volcano Harvest Mouse.

Synonyms: Reithrodontomys (Reithrodontomys) colimae Merriam 1901 ; Reithrodontomys (Reithrodontomys) orizabae Merriam 1901 ; Reithrodontomys (Reithrodontomys) perotensis Merriam 1901 ; Reithrodontomys (Reithrodontomys) tolucae Merriam 1901 .

Distribution: Cordillera Transvolcanica, SE Jalisco to WC Veracruz, México.

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Subgenus Reithrodontomys , megalotis species group.
