Species inquirenda ( Brycinus )

Petersius bahr-sarae Fowler, 1949b:245 , figs. 15–18. Type locality: Bahr Sara, Shari River basin. [ Chad]. Holotype: ANSP 71876. [The holotype is missing from its jar since 1970 (Böhlke, 1984)].

Remarks: Poll (1967) treated this species as a juvenile Alestes species, but he still had doubts about its generic placement. Later, Géry (1977) placed it as an unidentified Brycinus species.
