TYPE LOCALITY: Cuba, Las Villas Prov., Archipiélago de Sabana, Cayo Fragoso (22°41'N, 79º27'W) GoogleMaps .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the type locality.

STATUS: U.S. ESA and IUCN - Endangered.

COMMENTS: This form is known only from mangrove habitats along the edges of canals passing across Cayo Fragoso. This form constructs nests that are very similar to those of angelcabrerai .
