TYPE LOCALITY: Argentina, Monteagudo, 80 km SE Tucumén City .

DISTRIBUTION: NW Argentina in Tucumén and adjacent Provs.

COMMENTS: Revised by Reig et al. (1966); also see Cabrera (1961:552) who included this species in mendocinus . The chromosome no. is 2n=22.
