Anteon nicolasi sp. nov. ( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1 , 2 View FIGURE 2 )

Male. Fully winged; length 2.00 mm. Head black; mandibles testaceous; antennae brown, with segment 1 testaceous and segment 2 testaceousbrown; mesosoma black; metasoma brown; legs brown, with tarsi testaceous, fore tibiae testaceous and front and mid coxae partly black. Antennae filiform, hairy, with most of the antennal hairs approximately as long as thickness of the segments; antennal segments in the following proportions: 7:4:4:3:3.5:4:4.5:5:4.5:7; antennal segment 9 less than three times as long as broad. Head dull, completely granulated and reticulate rugose; frontal line absent; occipital carina complete; POL = 6; OL = 2.5; OOL = 4.5; OPL = 2.5; TL = 4.5; region of the head behind the ocellar triangle excavated. Scutum shiny, finely punctate, without sculpture among the punctures; anterior fourth of scutum rugose; anterior half of lateral regions of scutum rugose. Scutellum and metanotum shiny, smooth, finely punctate, without sculpture among the punctures. Notauli incomplete, reaching approximately 0.5 length of scutum. Propodeum with a strong transverse keel between dorsal and posterior surface; propodeum with dorsal surface reticulate rugose; posterior surface dull and reticulate rugose, with two longitudinal keels, with median area shiny, smooth, without sculpture, and lateral areas rugose and dull. Forewing hyaline, without dark transverse bands; distal part of stigmal vein much shorter than proximal part (1.5:7). Parameres with a distal inner rounded process ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ). Tibial spurs 1, 1, 2.

Female. Unknown.

Type material. Male holotype: Argentina, Córdoba Province, San Esteban (30° 55’ S, 64°33’W – 1023 m.o.s.l), 17.XI.2000, C. Porter & P. Fidalgo coll.. (in the collection of Instituto de Entomología y Fundación Miguel Lillo, Universidad Nacional de Tucumán, Argentina).

Remarks. The new species can be included in the key to the males of the Neotropical Anteon ( Olmi, 1990) by replacing couplet 14 as follows:
