Type material. Holotype male in inventory slide no. MBSMCOIA-C4-12-3-0-2-1. Paratypes: four males in inventory slide no. MBSMCOIA-MF1-2-2-5-2, MBSMCOIA-C4-11-3-2-5, and MBSMCOIA-M10D-3-2-5-3; four females in inventory slide no. MBSMCOIA-MF1-2-2-5-2, MBSMCOIA-C4-12-3-0-2-2 and MBSMCOIA-DE-05- 1-2-5.

Type locality and habitat. Holotype collected in the Cosmonauts Sea , 67.1217°S, 44.3743°E; depth 1321 m; 22 January 2021; total organic carbon 0.22%; sand, 50.73%; clay, 7.62%; silt 41.11%; mean particle diameter 4.49 μm. Etymology. The species epithet is named after the character of relatively short conical tail.
