Decliviassus bipunctatus View in CoL sp. nov.

( Figs 2 View FIGURE 2 A, B, 10A–F, 11A–C)

Male 6.3–6.4 mm long, 2.2–2.5 mm wide across humeral angles. Color dull stramineous, with pair of small brown sublateral spots on pronotum near midlength ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 A, B). Hind tibia macrosetal rows PD, AD, and AV with 17, 12, and 13 setae respectively; first hind tarsomere pecten with 5 platellae. Pygofer appendage in lateral view with prominent posterior lobe and hooklike ventral projection ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 A). Subgenital plate with mesal margin trilobed, with few short, fine setae distally ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 A, D). Style apophysis in lateral view evenly tapered distally with apex bluntly rounded and short, obtusely angulate posteroventral projection preapically ( Fig. 10 View FIGURE 10 C, 11B). Aedeagus with paired distal processes approximately as long as maximum width of shaft, extended ventrad along shaft and curved slightly laterad distally, shaft apex with short unpaired digitiform posterior projection; gonopore elongate, apical on posterior surface of shaft ( Figs 10 View FIGURE 10 B, 11B).

Material examined. Holotype ♂, THAILAND, Loei, Phu Kradueng NP Huay Lao Kao, 16º52.442’N 101º50.506’E 280m, Malaise trap 9–16.viii.2006 Sutin Khonglasae leg. T484 [ QSBG]. Other material: THAILAND: 1♂, Phetchabun, Khao Kho NP, Mixed deciduous forest at Ta Phol river, 16º32.546'N 101º2.501'E 274m, Malaise trap 5–12.xi.2006, Somchai Chachumnan & Saink Singhtong leg. T970 [ INHS]; 1♂, Phetchabun, Khao Kho NP, Deciduous forest at Khla Stream, 16º39.257'N 101º7.945'E 186m, Malaise trap 19–26.iii.2007, Somchai Chachumnan & Saink Singtong leg. T2415 [ QSBG].

Notes. The two male specimens listed above as ‘Other material’ are excluded from the type series and are tentatively considered conspecific, but differ from the holotype in lacking the digitiform posteroapical projection on the aedeagal shaft ( Fig. 11 View FIGURE 11 B). The specimen from sample T2415 also lacks the pair of brown spots on the pronotum present in the other two specimens and has the processes of the aedeagal shaft both extended to the right of the shaft. Such variation is here considered intraspecific. The species name refers to the two black spots on the pronotum.
