Type Locality: Argentina, Chaco Prov., Las Palmas.

Vernacular Names: Chacoan Akodont.

Distribution: NE Argentina.

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: Described as a species of Akodon ; transferred to Bibimys by Massoia (1980 a), who noted the need to clarify the differentiation of this form from B. torresi .
