Type material. MLP 87, Lectotype (male), paralectotypes (13 males and 19 females), Argentina, Mendoza, Fray Luis Beltrán, Finca Ghigné, 33°01'S, 68°39'W, 683 m a.s.l., E. Mac Donagh coll., 27/II/1942.

Remarks. R. Ringuelet (1948a: 315) reported the type material, 19 males and 24 females, as “cotypes”, a term which is not recognized by the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (Recommendation 73E). Bond-Buckup & Buckup (1994: 185) designated lectotype and paralectotypes.
