Doratura (Doraturina) View in CoL sp.

( Figure 4 View FIGURE 4 , Plate II: G)

Length. Male: 3.5mm.

Brownish green, shiney (Plate II: G). Fore border of head with 3 black spots extending also onto upper part of face, the middle one being the largest (Plate II: G). Face below marginal spots with two black transverse bands, one between eyes, the other below eyes, the latter continuing caudad on thoracic pleura; clypellus and lora with black markings. Vertex with longitudinal indistinct stripe passing to scutellum (Plate II: G). Forewings covering abdominal terga I–IV, caudally rounded.

Male genitalia. Subgenital plates fused, lobe-shaped ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 C). Style preapical lobe closed to apophysis, only narrow slit between them ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D). Connective with parallel anterior arms ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 B). Apex of aedeagal shaft slightly curved caudo-dorsally, strong teeth on ventral surface ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 G).

Material examined. 13, China, Xinjiang, 187 Regiment, 07-VIII-2002, coll. Huang Min ( NWAFU).

Remarks. We are uncertain if the above specimen represents a new species or is an aberrant form of an exist-

ing species, perhaps D. homophyla with which it shares a similar colour pattern. Parts of its male genitalia, i.e.,

the asymmetrical aedeagus and connective appear deformed while the subgenital plates are fused ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 C) and

the style ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D) has the preapical lobe close to the apophysis and inner basal arm strongly curved towards

the outer arm ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D), all features which are very unusual in this genus. We therefore consider it necessary to

obtain more individuals, preferably from the same locality, to help resolve its identity.
