Specimens Examined. ARGENTINA: Jujuy Prov., Calilegua Nat. Park, Estaca El Cero , 900m, 18– 28.12.1987, S. & J. Peck, Malaise-FIT ( CMNC) . BRAZIL: Santa Catarina (Holotype, NMPC). PARAGUAY: Ciudad del Este , ca. 25°32′S 54°34′W ,

07.04.2002, S. Neser & C. J. Cilliers, AcSN 2506: Macfadyena unguis-cati (Bignoniaceae) (CHAH).

Host Plant. Macfadyena unguis-cati (L.) A. H. Gentry ( Bignoniaceae ).

Discussion. This species has been reared in numbers by George Vogt (personal communication) and more recently by groups looking for biological control agents for the invasive weed M. unguis-cati . Hedwigiella jureceki was figured by Cobos (1979). The species was described from Santa Catarina, Brazil, so the Argentine and Paraguayan specimens are new country records. The male genitalia ( Fig. 4 ) are figured here for the first time.
