Material examined. Holotype, male, Kobotoke, Minamiasagawa River, Tokyo, Honshu, Japan. 2. I. 1980, (No. 56: 01).

Diagnostic characters. The species can be separated from other East Asian members of the genus by AR 2.55, inferior volsella extended and acutely angular, anal point and with 8 basal setae, gonostylus median expanded and apical hooked.

Additional description and corrections. Based on the analysis of holotype material, the examined characters were consistent with the original description, but some additional characters should be added: Tentorium 130 µm long, 40 µm wide. Palpomeres length (in µm): 38, 50, 90, 108, 140. Palpomere 2 ellipsoid, 3 and 4 rectangular, 5 long and slender, Palpomeres 5/3: 1.5. Laterosternite IX with 4 long setae. Anal point 65 µm long, basal wide 25 µm, peak wide 3 µm, with 8 long lateral setae on each side. Transverse sternapodeme 90 µm long, with oral projections. Gonocoxite 195 µm long. Gonostylus 75 µm long, apical hooked. Megaseta 10 µm long. HR 2.6, HV 3.8. Wing destoryed. The hypopygium of holotype are re-drawn as in Figs 9 A View FIGURE 9 A – B –C.

Distribution. The species occurs in Japan (Palaearctic Region).
