Aus dem Wallis und dem oberen Tessin beschrieben und auch aus Tirol und Hessen nachgewiesen ( KOPELKE 1996). Gallen als wenig auffallende Sprossverdickungen an Purpurweiden (Salix purpurea, siehe Abb. 9h in KOPELKE 1999). Eigene Funde im Waldviertel (oberes Kamptal), ebenfalls an Purpurweiden.
