Kodaianella bicinctifrons Fennah, 1956: 508 View in CoL .

Description (after Fennah 1956). Body length (from apex of vertex to tip of forewings): 3 4.0– 4.2 mm, Ƥ 4.5–4.9 mm; forewing length: 3 3.2–3.3 mm, Ƥ 3.6–4.0 mm.

Coloration. Vertex ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ) dark brown with two oval black brown marks near posterior margin. Eyes dark brown. Frons ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ) brown, with brown verruca near lateral margin and more or less distinct band across middle of distal half. Clypeus dark brown. Rostrum brown. Antenna dark brown. Pro- and mesonotum ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ) brown, with scattered dark brown spots. Forewings brown with dark brown marks as figured, hind wings dark brown. Legs brown with dark brown stripes. Abdomen ventrally greenish brown.

Head and thorax. Vertex ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ) with median carina, apical margin angulately convex, posterior margin excavate, 1.9 times wider at base than long in middle line. Frons ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ) distinctly medially carinate, submarginal carinae obscure, 1.5 times wider than the long, with line of verrucae at lateral margins. Clypeus disc slightly convex. Rostrum slightly surpassing mesotrochanters. Pronotum with small pit beyond each side of middle line. Mesonotum triangular, disc slightly tumid. Tegmina ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ) 1.6 times longer than widest part, broadening distally, costal margin convex, apical margin convex-truncate, Sc+R forked near base, M forked slightly basad and Cu forked markedly distad of union of claval veins. Wings ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ) almost as long as tegmina, anal lobe reduced, apical margin slightly indented twice in Cu, veins simple. Hind tibiae with two teeth laterally. Spinal formula of hind leg 9–11–2.

Male genitalia. Anal segment ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ) in dorsal view subtriangular, 2.0 times longer than widest part, relatively narrow, slightly expanding distally, apical margin strongly excavate, lateroapical angles more or less acutely produced, anal foramen in basal half. Pygofer ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ) with laterodorsal angles slightly prominent, rounded, lateral margin shallowly sinuate. Aedeagus ( Figs 7, 8 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ) shallowly U-shaped in lateral view; dorsal lobe apically with a median process and lateral lobes apically reflexed; pair of short spines (about 1.1 times longer than median process of dorsal lobe), tapering apically, directed cephalad. Phallus with a pair of long stout hooks arising in distal half, tapering apically, directed ventrocephalad below aedeagus. Apical margin of ventral lobe angulately concave in middle. Genital styles ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ) moderately short, about as wide near apex as at base, apical margin more or less abruptly transversely truncate, dorsal margin at middle produced dorsad in large tapering lobe with anterior margin excavate in dorsal third, apex acuminate, short stout peg-like process laterally below apex.
