Note
This species lacks the typical cheliceral teeth that are still considered as a diagnostic feature for Stephanopinae . Instead, its elongated labium and peglike-setae on endites (see Teixeira et al. 2014) allow us to undoubtedly consider this spider as an Aphantochilinae. We propose the transfer of S. quimiliensis to Ulocymus Simon, 1866 based on the presence of stout and conical projections on the dorsum of the carapace (see Teixeira et al. 2014) and shape of the copulatory structures ( Fig. 25 View Fig ).
