Synonyms.

Laccophilus monas Guignot, 1953.

Remarks.

Known from a range of habitats including a reservoir, river pools, river swamps, waterholes and dams ( Biström et al., 2015).

Distribution.

Widespread from Sudan to South Africa and Namibia.

St Lucia records.

Not previously recorded from St Lucia. Recorded at Western Shores, Eastern Shores and False Bay in November 2013, July 2014 and January/February 2015, during the course of this study.
