Genus Barsaurea Volynkin & Huang, 2019 View in CoL
Volynkin & Huang in Volynkin, Huang & Ivanova, 2019: 65.
Type species: Miltochrista phaeoxanthia Hampson, 1900: 493 View in CoL (by original designation).
Autapomorphy. Autapomorphic characters of Barsaurea View in CoL were defined by Volynkin et al. (2020): male genitalia with an androconial gland in inner membrane of vinculum; a round setosed lobe in the medial section of costa and female genitalia with a small elliptical and heavily sclerotised appendix bursae having an extremely large sack-like bulla, which is weakly setosed basally and membranous distally, and connected with the appendix bursae by the narrow membranous tube. Barsaurea View in CoL is further defined on the basis of following set of characters: male genitalia with heavily built, laterally flattened and setosed uncus, valva without distal membranous lobe, and the aedeagus vesica having elongated diverticula bearing series of long cornuti.
Distribution. Widely distributed from North East India to Sumatra Island through southwestern China, Indochina and Malay Peninsula ( Volynkin et al. 2020, Singh et al. 2021).
